The Nightsoil Coolies formed when Roger Pugh, Tony Aimone, and Brian Vaughan heard each other playing music on Hays Street in Carbondale, Illinois, in the summer of 1988. Not long after, they were playing out. Brian was a song engine, and before we split in 1991, we had written about 100 songs, and played all over the country.
