about

Brian Vaughan got the band back together to play one of the infamous Hoot Nights at Schubas----the theme was violence versus violins, if I remember correctly. So, we got together, and recorded the two songs we were going to put forward for Hoot Night. The first song was Police and Thieves by the Clash, and the second was Sing (Sing a Song) by the Carpenters. We recorded a quick and dirty demo so that we could practice on our own before the show.

It didn't help. We kind of blew our way through our time on stage, but still had a great time.

about

The Nightsoil Coolies Carbondale, Illinois

Not long after, they were playing out. Brian was a song engine, and before we split in 1991, we had written about 100 songs, and played all over the country. People from around the Dale still ask about us every once in awhile. ... more
